Most birds will fly away when they notice a person. This curious Stellar’s jay, on the other hand, did the exact opposite. I first saw it from across a small river. When it noticed me it it started shaaack-ing out a warning. The oaf pointing a black piece of plastic at it clearly didn’t get the message, so it flew to a nearby tree to continue it’s tirade.

Fortunately for me, it framed itself perfectly in a halo of needles at the same time.
