For me, hiking and spending time outdoors is most fulfilling for the sense of exploration and ensuing wonder. Having a camera with me is a way to focus and record that exploration. It forces me to slow down and and notice more along the way. While I enjoy photographing many diverse objects and scenes, I take particular pleasure in the small, the overlooked, and the forgotten.
